The powers that be, be they political, economic, or media, think WE the PEOPLE are stupid, like we don’t need the truth, and we have to be lied to. Thaat is a form of disrespect.

All through the ‘seventies and onward, I heard so much about the”left-liberal-slanted news media.” It was a form of denial of reality on the far right, whenever things don’t go their way or there is information that doesn’t suit their dogma. Media organizations are for-profit corporations, and they adapt their news to benefit other for-profit corporations, the same ones that have dominated our society and politics forever. The hiring of an all-out racist on a “mainstream” news show will, I hope, put that myth to rest.
