Greetings, Americans!

On May 19, I worked with my division’s election board during the Pennsylvania Primary Election, helping people work the polls to make their voices heard through their votes. But alas! Out of 1,080,636 registered voters in Philadelphia, only 241,186 voters had actually voted. (https://vote.phila.gov/results/) that disappoints me; maintaining a democracy requires all citizens to participate in the process, or else corrupt or incompetent officials can remain in office for decades, as so many have.

It’s especially important to vote now, with the economic issues ahead of us—inflation that’s causing the price of beef, gas, and other commodities to be unaffordable, difficulty in finding a mortgage for a home, and unemployment, for starters. And it doesn’t help that this strange person lurking around the White House (MUST I call him “President?) acts like he doesn’t care one bit about how people are hurting in this economy.

Our Commander-In-Thief Made that plain when, asked about negotiation with Iran and how the war affected the financial situation of American consumers and workers, Trump let out, “I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation.”

The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the report on the Cost of Living Index for May, which showed a 0.5 percent increase in costs, with the greatest rise in energy costs due to the war with Iran; it has been 4.2 percent for the past year. Trump, hearing that news, told reporters, “You know what I really love? I love the inflation.” Why? Yes, I know he’s a moron, but this shows ONCE AGAIN how uninterested he is about what working-class Americans are going through, as they try to purchase groceries, gas up their cars, pay for medical bills and the mortgage.

Do YOU love the inflation?

It’s also exacerbated by the growing income gap between the rich and working and low-income people, as shown by the news of Elon Musk becoming the world’s first TRILLIONAIRE!

Musk’s company, SpaceX, opened at $150.00 a share on the Nasdaq market; along with his other company Tesla, he now has $1.05 TRILLION.

So much of the $1.1 TRILLION came from funds from the federal government, including contracts with federal agencies. Musk received a contract of $2.29 billion for a data system for the Space Force (do we really need that?).

To SOME financial circles, Musk is a hero because he ran the “Department Of Government Efficiency” (DOGE); “thanks” to DOGE, there were deep cuts into the US Agency for International Development (USAID): cutting out 10,000 employees, and freezing humanitarian projects overseas, such as assistance to developing nations dealing with HIV/AIDS, polio, malaria, and other diseases; there were also projects dealing with flood assistance, famine, and economic development. These were considered examples of American “soft power,” placing the US in a positive light. But Musk depended on conspiracy theories and misinformation to justify his slash-and-burn approach.

The result of Musk’s slaughter of USAID? People in foreign nations lose access to education, health care, and improvement of their economies.

All of Musk’s work in DOGE has been —allegedly—to cut back on “waste, fraud, and abuse” in federal spending; instead, federal spending ticked upward by 6%.

SO, it was NEVER about cutting inefficiency and waste; the goal has ALWAYS been to attack working and low-income people, in this country and abroad. Musk, Trump, and the other plutocrats have been waging class warfare on low-income Americans, but it has been a stealth attack year by year, piece by piece, to reclaim the power they had before the FDR presidency.

SO, it is ABUNDANTLY clear that we MUST utilize our votes, the citizens’ super weapon against plutocracy and dictatorship. The 250th anniversary of our nation is drawing near, and let’s remember the fight for freedom goes on. We must continue the work of our revolutionary forebears and stand up to trump and his oligarchs and thugs.

Stay safe, stay strong, and stay together! Slava Ukraini! Am Yisrael Chai! Fuck Trump! America will be free!

Bye!
