I had a horrible time in school, with all the teasing and harassments I suffered, and the “teachers” and other “adult authority figures” acted like it was my fault. How can ANY one learn in such a situation?

My high school years were less about bullying but more about attitude adjustment. I went to parochial school and the priests and the nuns were all about keeping the girls ‘chaste’ and keep the boys mind off girls.
The experience had nothing to do with the real world in the mid 90’s
So many religious institutions have no idea about how the world works, and they want to separate their followers from the world.
