Marx In Soho

Yesterday I joined my comrades in Democratic Socialists of America (dsausa.org) at the Plays and Players Theater in Philadelphia (playsandplayers.org) for a performance of the play Marx In Soho, written by the historian Howard Zinn. Bob Weick performs as Marx coming back to earth to defend his theories and writings from both his detractors who declared capitalism triumphant, and from the tyrants who established brutal dictatorships supposedly based on his theories. Weick as Marx commented on how the one percent of the population that is super rich benefited, while the poor are stuck with poor schools, prisons, poverty, and no hope.
