Modern Hebrew is a rich language with many of its words deeply rooted in Jewish life and concept. In many ways, Hebrew becomes easy to teach because, unlike English, most of its words are connected by a common root. For example, the words “letter” and “write” have no base connection in English. However, in Hebrew “letter” = “מִכְתָב (mikhtav)” and “write” = “כּוֹתֵב (kotev)” derive from the same Biblical root “כ-ת-ב (k-t-v)”.
