In May 2018 I received my Master’s degree from University of Massachusetts Amherst. We assembled in a gymnasium, and I called friends about the event. We lined up to get on the stage, and they handed us the diplomas, and it was on a huge TV screen. That was a glorious moment for me.

When I graduated from Temple with my BA. I was at the old Civic Center, we were grouped together by our degree programs. When the got to Bachelor’s in Arts and Sciences, we stood, the university president awarded us the degrees, and we moved our tassels from right to left. That was a super proud moment for me.
