Letter From Birmingham Jail – The Atlantic

Here is Dr. King’s classic letter defending his nonviolent protest campaign, taking on the “moderate” clergymen who wanted him to tone it down. King, whose legend was sanitized by the commercial media after his murder, was a real enemy of the state while he was alive. we’re in a situation where “moderation” isn’t always the answer, and a raving maniac is roaming the white House enabling the vicious racist elements in this country. we must pick up where King left off, and confront these evil elements, and preserve and advance our freedoms.
