I will join other Philadelphia-area trade unionists in the 32nd Annual Tri-State Labor Day Parade and Family Celebration, on Monday, September 2. we will assembly at the Sheet Metal Workers building, 1301 S. Columbus Boulevard, then march down Columbus Boulevard down to the festival pier of Penn’s Landing, where we’ll enjoy food and dancing.

I will take part in the monthly meeting of Philly For Change, which takes place at Tattooed Mom, at 7:00 PM, on Wednesday, September 5. There, in a laid-back atmosphere we’ll discuss serious issues and the upcoming municipal and presidential elections.

I will take part in the Annual Awards Banquet of the Philadelphia chapter of the A. Philip Randolph Institute, held at the Spirit of Philadelphia, on Friday, September 13, 2019. There we will honor the following trade union leaders:

Linda Fields, District 1199C NUHHCE-AFSCME;

George Piasecki, President, Delaware County AFL-CIO;

Martin Williams, National Coordinator of State Legislative Affairs, Boilermakers International; and

Vernon Wooddall, LIUNA Local 135.
