Pesach Resolutions

We are now in Pesach, aka Passover, the holiday where we commemorate the liberation of the Jews from slavery in Egypt and their trek into the Promised Land of Freedom. we have all gone through events like this-leaving a terrible situation, like an abusive spouse or job, and left to find something better. we deserve it. Passover is symbolic of the work we must to to liberate ourselves from all internalized limitations and self-hatred, and of the struggles of people fighting for freedom. the Passover Seder has had many adaptations over the centuries reflecting the struggles of the current times, including a secular Seder for Israeli kibbutzim to the Freedom Seder of Arthur Waskow, reflecting the human and civil rights struggles in this land of the free. I wish all people success in their liberation struggles, both internally and externally.

Here are my resolutions for Pesach this year:

I will continue to conduct myself with self-love, self-esteem, and self-respect, thinking and acting positively about myself and my life.

I will continue to be active in the Trade Union movement and related causes.

I will continue to advance my art and craft as a writer, attending poetry and writing events, attending seminars, networking with other writers, etc.

I will continue to be loyal to Jewish religion and history, Israel, Torah, Kabbalah, etc.
