Farrakhan’s antisemitism is real and really disgusting, and worthy of being condemned; and it is foolish to take him seriously as a leader worthy of allying with. the leaders of the Women’s March could have done a better job of condemning Farrakhan.

However, the howl by rightists of all persuasions about “antisemitism on the left” should not distract us from the reality of a “president” who has, due to his own blatant racism and refusal to condemn neo-fascist violence, has enabled such once-fringe elements to crawl out of the woodwork; their refusal to resist this, so as to keep a “president” dedicated to enriching the already rich and powerful, further enables this tendency.
