This afternoon I went to see a performance of Beethoven’s opera Fidelio, performed by the Atlantic Coast Opera Festival, led by my friend Beatrice Beer (who played the title role). It was a wonderful performance; ACOP’s mission is to launch a platform for up-and-coming opera performers.
